So we're off the back of one of electronic music's most staple events - OG Tomorrowland. We all know it has huge production and some of the cheesiest European dance going, but the UK flavours are certainly starting to get more slots, as we saw at Coachella.
I don't know about you but you can tell it's still got a niche audience. The crowds could fit on a bus. It was very surprising to see Gorgon City, a main stage act, pull a crowd smaller than when I DJed my local barbers gaff.
This week's set is from the festival of unity, a new and somewhat controversial bullet tooth mix.
Record of the Week: FOMɆɆN - Modded
Now it's not often our artist is featured from a country home to infamous journalist Borat. But if Kazakhstan artists keep pumping out tunes like this one, we're gonna need to check out the scene stat. Big bass, a great phone dial melody, and some chopped vocals make this a need, not a want. If Borat's “pain is my asshole” neighbour plays up, I'd be hooking up the KRKs directly at his house.
Big fan of After Hours after he dropped Tellin Me a few weeks back (previously had a ROTW). His Techno-ish x UKG vibe would have dancefloors with heads down, locked in for his latest Nuff Shots. On the flip side, Sulphur, Captain Wallop - Godfather is a mover and a shaker, a groover and a funker - but would expect nothing less from Hardline, whose selections are always on point. This one's “simpleh loveleh”.
Plenty more to get your ears around.

Bullet Tooth @ Tomorrowland: Now this seems to be a bit of a controversial one. It's a step away from his speed garage sound, very house-focused with not much switch-up throughout. The YouTube comments are torn - personally, I think it's a solid set, maybe not his most exciting but it has its place if you need something a little less in your face. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
