Dare I say it? You’ve heard it all week, but, bit hot innit? Not that I’m complaining, if it weren’t for those pesky neighbours, the trusty Traktor S4 Mk1 would be out in the garden ready for some Summer mixing. That or we’re copping last minute tickets on RA for the England afters.
If I was doing the garden headline slot, here’s what I’d be rinsing for Bev and the kids at number 98.
Record of the Week - ODF - Trojan Horse
I first came across ODF, as I think many did, for his VIP of Special Request x Tim Reaper - Pull Up. One of 2024’s top releases and still the track I get sent the most to ID on socials. But we’re here today for Trojan Horse, a deep rumbly roller with some classic Garage sounds sprinkled throughout. Bev has no option here but to lock into the skank.
Albums in the scene are a luxury, not a right, but this week we have one from a young lad named Lockerz who’s carving a very distinct sound for himself. Tight production boasting bumpy, highly energetic tunes with glitchy textures. There’s no shying away from a big room synth (Levels) or a bass that sounds like it’s being strummed live by a bloke sat next to you (Heart). Check out the whole thing, but Two Step has been my co-worker for the day.

Conducta @ GALA Festival 2026: The last Conducta mix I included was for Hush, deep in the underground. For this, he’s emerged to the open air and brought with him a set that fits perfectly. Not as heavy as the Hush set, but a multi-genre mix perfect for the sun. Heavy hitters old and new.
