Record of the Week - Mak & Pasteman - Bust It

You might recognise the names. Mak & Pasteman have been on the scene sinch 2011 and this week they bring us one on Terrorhythm (Plastician's dubstep institution since 2002). Bust It rolls at 130, and is an absolute peach of a break’s record.

Bit of a heritage moment elsewhere this week. Skream joins forces with ROKAR to drop Rampage on IFEEL. Skream has always been one to experiment across different genres, even exploring progressive house at one point. But there is no complaints from me as he leans more and more into UKG / Bassline production.

SHOSH is back, this time on Crucast alongside Rhiannon Roze. Hot is a proper 140 thumper. This, as well as her recent releases, has quickly made her my favourite 140 producer.

Two weeks ago we also shared a track by Joe Hunt called Raw Cuts and SoundCloud are already giving it the Dub treatment, this one by Silver Bullet is absolutely worth knowing. And it’s free.

Y U QT @ Circus, Tokyo: There's something about bass music translating to other countries, the music shouldn't really make sense outside the UK, all those scene-specific reference points and warehouse soaked-history, but the Tokyo crowd fully get it. Circus is one of Tokyo's better-respected club spaces, and this is a duo at full tilt blending through some of their best productions as well as some of the biggest recent releases in the scene.
