The weather might have turned a bit miserable in the UK recently, but that hasn’t stopped a plethora of great releases this week. We might not be out in the garden blasting them and annoying the neighbours just yet, but these ones land just in time to get you pumped and ready for Monday.
Before we go into it, for those of you who are vinyl heads, ODF has released his 4th edition in his vinyl only series. Definitely one I thought you readers might be interested in. However, there is a limited supply! For those of you who are digital only, you can get it - if you want to drop a cheeky £1k.
Record of the Week: Overmono - Lockup
You don't need me to introduce Overmono. The Russell brothers have spent the last few years becoming one of the biggest names in UK electronic music, and Lockup is their latest single release to a highly anticipated album drop in August. It sits at a moody 97 BPM, it features Overmono’s signature vocal style and some tight synths. A rare week where the Record of the Week comes from a household name rather than the underground. But it earns it.
Elsewhere it's a strong week for the labels doing the groundwork. Trustee, Prizefight & TASKFORCE link up on ATW for Hear Me, three names you'll know from the scene pulling in the same direction. Gabriel Muñoz lands Low End Therapy on Hardline, exactly what the title promises. Riordan brings a groovier turn with Feel The Funk on Hot Creations.
For the free downloads, ADDAX - Da Next Record is the one to move on quickly, it's only free for 14 days before it's gone, so don't sleep on it.
Plenty more to get your ears round below. Until next week.

Soul Mass Transit System @ ec2a Signal: Bristol: Fresh off HAUSDOGS002, Soul Mass Transit System takes it to Bristol for an ec2a Signal session. Expect the same deep, groove-led take on UKG and bass that's made the label a name to trust. An hour that rewards proper attention rather than background listening. Stick it on and let it run.
