We're keeping the editorial light this week as the sun is out and I have a salt aged sirloin to smoke on the barbie. But don't fear, the curation has been given the time it deserves and I've actually got 15 tracks rather than the usual 12 as none of these deserved to be cut.
Record of the Week — Fold, cu.rve - Caramel
These two have been making a name for themselves with their deeper spin on UKG. This one comes at us with a bassline reminiscent of the OG bassline days, but more sophisticated. The vocals are introspective and it's a track that wouldn't be out of place in the smoky mist of Manchester's The White Hotel or as the sun belts down on Glastonbury's San Remo.
p-rallel was our Set of the Week recently and he delivered a groovy blend of House and UKG. His release this week might have sounded a bit out of place in that set. This one is heavier with big-room synths stamping their mark. But you'd expect nothing less when teaming up with Megra, a guy who Four Tet continually drops in his sets and who has received big praise from the likes of Jamie xx.
If you're a UK reader, get these going in the garden whilst we have some sun. If you're rest of world, you probably have more sun than us anyway.
Plenty more to get your ears round. Until next week.

NOTION @ Mixmag Lab: NOTION takes the Mixmag Lab and turns it into something that feels like a proper warehouse rave. UKG, bass and breaks blending with intent. You’ve heard of Notion by now, he cemented himself as a major producer last year and this set shows his selections are also top notch. Simply, a very good set.
